SHOOTING SEQUENCES
Shooting sequences is a fun and rewarding technique that can be done in several dierent ways. You can shoot a
sequence of images while you’re stationary and allow the subject to pass through your frame, or you can pan with
them as the action unfolds. Both are acceptable means to capture the activity and can produce striking results.
In these sequential images of a surfer riding a wave, I wanted to capture a continuous sequence of riding a large
wave from takeo to nish, including part of the ride inside the “tube” formed by the wave.
