Abstract
The emerging integration of drones and the Internet of Things (IoT) in the vehicle industry, called Internet of Vehicle Things (IoVT), is remarkable. This chapter discusses the cross-section of the IoVT and drones, focusing on the critical issue of interoperability between these diverse technologies. With cars becoming more connected and self-sufficient, drones play a vital role in IoVT, advancing the ecosystem with novel services and applications. This paper highlights the need for integration among information vehicles and drones regarding their communication interfaces, data exchange formats, and other protocols. At their current place in drone technology and IoVT integration, it is mostly about integration. It investigates setting the interoperability requirements for effective communication between drones and vehicles for the joint solution of issues like traffic control, surveillance, ...
