The logistics industry is currently experiencing changes as it adopts delivery drones, also known as piloted aerial systems. In recent times these drones have emerged as a solution to improve and streamline logistics operations. In this chapter, we will delve into the integration of delivery drones into the business process of logistics, focusing on the advantages, challenges, and important considerations associated with this technology, by examining aspects such as technology, operations, and regulations. This chapter aims to provide an overview of how delivery drones can bring about a revolutionary transformation in the logistics industry.
