The Launch

While Dynamics of Software Development is primarily about the core activity of producing great software with a team, I would be remiss if I didn’t address the essential, inseparable role of communications in the production and dissemination of great software. Greatness in anything, after all, is difficult for most of us to perceive, because by its nature greatness involves something new, or transcendent. To my mind, this novelty means that greatness, in addition to being integral to the software itself, must be communicated. Because greatness has to do with historicity, we can appreciate it most readily in historical terms.
