THE MORPHOLOGY OF DRAWING

A closer analysis of the listed features can be made by considering a

particular activity. In the case of drawing for engineering design, a

MORPHOLOGY OF DRAWING can be tabulated as shown on the

next page. This shows the four important characteristics: modelled

properties, receiver, code and the drawing technique, with a list of

possibilities contained in each. On the extreme right of the page

is a list of common drawing types, resulting from given combinations

of the four characteristics.
