Block diagram.

Use

For describing the relationships between elements in a group. These

may be elements in a mechanical system or in a process. Block

diagrams can be used in a number of situations where systems or

processes are to be described at an abstract level.

Characteristics

The block diagram comprises boxes (blocks) and connecting lines.

The boxes: represent elements. Different categories of elements are

sometimes drawn according to a specific notation.
