A component is shown for three different recipients: the designer,
draughtsman and workshop staff. The first is a layout, drawn using
a draughting machine. The second is a three dimensional dimensioned
freehand sketch. Finally a detail drawing for workshop use, drawn
using a draughting machine. It is common practice to produce formal
drawings in pencil, but many European countries have adopted the
practice of drawing in ink.
