THE DRAWING CODE
SUMMARY
Codes are sets of rules according to which the information on a
graphical model is presented. Coding exists where use is made of:
e.g.
pneumatic symbols, thread notations or where three-dimensional
objects are represented as isometric drawings.
Graphic models are primarily for communication. For the drawing to
be interpreted correctly, the code used in formulating the information
should be known to the recipient of the message i.e. the receiver
should know pneumatic symbols, thread notation and isometric
representation.
