This chapter is an introduction to SRE transformation. I will start by clarifying why SRE should be chosen as a product operations methodology. Following this, I will clearly articulate the challenges of implementing an SRE transformation. The chapter concludes with an outlook of how to drive SRE transformation.
1.1 Why SRE?
A provocative but useful question to ask in the context of SRE transformation is “Why SRE?”
