Sustaining the SRE Movement
In the previous chapters, I discussed the motivation for embarking on the SRE transformational journey, as well as how to establish the SRE foundations and measure their success. This chapter is dedicated to sustaining the SRE movement.
14.1 Maturing the SRE CoP
The SRE CoP is a communal force behind driving SRE awareness, best practice exchange, and cross-team knowledge fertilization. Importantly, once the SRE coaches start disengaging from the teams (see Section 5.9.3, Team Engagements Over Time), it indeed remains the only driving force behind SRE operating in a cross-team manner.
