So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Implementing Alert Dispatching
Alert dispatching is about the efficiency with which alerts about breaches and outages reach the people who can take real action. Recipients can be people who are on call, as well as stakeholders such as those in marketing or management. The people on call would receive alerts about SLO breaches, and their goal would be to fix the problem. The stakeholders would receive alerts about high-profile outages so that they can be informed about the problem before they start getting calls from angry customers.
The goal of alert dispatching is to precisely target the appropriate recipients and to provide them with all the information they need to take action. It is also about dispatching as few alerts as possible. ...
