Achieving Organizational Buy-In
The SRE transformation will require multifaceted changes in all teams within the product delivery organization. Therefore, the effort needs to be supported through overall organizational buy-in. A guide for achieving organizational buy-in for SRE is the subject of this chapter.
Before delving into the guide, it is important to note that its applicability depends on the organization’s culture. The culture heavily influences the way organizational buy-in for SRE can be achieved. The guide in this chapter is especially suitable for rule-oriented (and also performance-oriented) organizational cultures from the Westrum model.1
