When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Combine All Files in a Folder

A common problem that faces many users is the job of consolidating multiple files into a single file for use in reporting or analysis. In the classic world of Excel, this would involve the following steps:
- Collect each data source file.
- Open each file and transform the data into a consistent format.
- Copy the transformed data from the source file and paste it into the ‘Master’ file.
- Make sure the reports are all updated.
So what could possibly go wrong? Besides the amount of manual effort wasted in consolidating the data, this process exposes us to a variety of potential issues including:
- Rows getting missed when clearing the historical ‘Master’ file.
