Every now and then there is a step change in Excel. Excel 2007 saw the dawn of the ribbon, Excel 2010 saw PowerPivot and Power Query – now Office 365 will soon introduce another game changer: dynamic arrays.

It’s late September 2018 and Microsoft’s Calc team has been busy behind the Excel scenes rearranging the furniture, for they are about to unleash a new calculation engine which will deal with Excel formulas in a whole new and exciting way.
But there’s a catch.
There are new toys to be had, but they will neither be available in Excel 2016 nor Excel 2019. You will need Office 365 – and even then, you’ll need the Insider Fast version for the time being:
