What is Context?
“Context” has several different definitions. This depends upon the, er, context – and within a context, there can be multiple sub-contexts. Let me explain.
The first definition of context is the results context:
- Results context is the environment in which the results of a calculation are displayed. This context can be one-dimensional or multi-dimensional.
But context can also be found in every table:
- The table context consists of two elements: the column and the row context.
The last definition of context is the one that is created by filtering:
- Filtering context refers to the way calculations are filtered.
So, let’s dive in a bit more into these contexts.
