Intermediate Charting in Excel

Excel offers a rich charting environment for illustrating your workbooks. This chapter assumes you have at least a passing familiarity with charting in Excel, and you don’t need a basic tutorial about formatting objects in Excel. I’ll start with a discussion of what makes good chart source data, then I’ll show how to manipulate the data in your chart. I’ll describe chart types and formatting. Finally, I’ll finish up with some tricks to show how flexible charts can be. Along the way I’ll try to include techniques that will make your work with Excel charts more efficient and even fun.
