By now, your business is up and running, and you are making profits. It’s time to have a check on your cash position.
There is a big difference between profits and cashflow. There are too many heartbreaking examples of fantastic businesses who have great products, good profits and customers lined up, but go bust simply because they don’t have enough cash in the bank for a short period.
You’ll hear this many times as you start up, but it doesn’t make it any less true:
Turnover is vanity, profit is sanity, cash is reality.
