Preface
Acknowledgments
This book began with a phone call from a long-time friend, Jon Orwant.
He knew of my penchant for building new toys and hacks and asked me if I
would like to put some of those ideas on paper for others to enjoy.
I would like to thank my technical reviewers who read and critiqued my
writing. They are: Steve Hazelwood, Eric Faulkner, Bunnie Huang, Matt
Biddulph, Raffi Krikorian, Tim Allwine, Nat Torkington, and Shane
Warden.
The team at O’Reilly was fantastic at taking my raw work and making it into
a real book. My editors were instrumental in making the project a reality.
Last but certainly not least I would like to thank my family and friends for
their support, especially my wife Jie. I could not have completed this with-
out her love and patience.
