I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Summary
These skills should allow you to build the advanced projects in the book,
such as the one in Chapter 8, How to Hack a Building-Size Display. The
parts mentioned here are ones that are commonly used, but the list is by
no means exhaustive. To expand your knowledge of what is available, read
through an electronics component catalog such as the one from DigiKey
(http://www.digikey.com). When I have a bit of free time, I like to browse
the catalog to see what new chips and connectors are available. Browsing
the web sites of the actual component manufacturers is also a good way to
learn more. Read through a few data sheets and applications notes for new
parts from one of the big semiconductor companies. The application notes
are usually good tutorials on how the new parts work and what types of
circuits can be made with them, and can often give you ideas for a new hack
of your own.
