My dad was an excellent father and mentor for me. He was a successful lawyer and provider for our family. He was always available to talk about business or personal issues. We had a wonderful life growing up and were able to enjoy significant family time on vacations or at our lake house. The downside was he worked very hard, had to travel for business, and was rarely able to watch the school events or other day-to-day activities in which I or my brothers participated.
