Abstract
The current revolution that is replacing Industry 4.0 is called Industry 5.0. Industry 5.0 is centered on mass customization and ultra-automation of these already-existing technologies, whereas Industry 4.0 was characterized by technological advancements in the areas of data analytics, cyber-physical systems, and extensive exposure to AI, ML, IoT, etc. The existing human resource management (HRM) of the firms must undergo this change at the same time as the world. The current study examines a few variables that influence HRM practices throughout this phase. The idea of Industry 5.0 is to promote ideals of ethics, environmental effect, and equity in order to address societal issues.
This chapter describes HRM areas that have an impact on changes occurring in organizations. The main objective, techniques, and features of Industry 5.0 are analyzed. The key advantages are emphasized, which make it possible to increase the competitiveness of modern enterprises. Through this chapter, the authors have also covered the impact of AI technologies on human resource (HR) practices of various industries.
