Abstract
The role of human resources (HR) in Industry 5.0, the most recent stage of industrial development marked by cutting-edge technologies, is examined in this book chapter. The chapter gives a general overview of HR 5.0 and goes over the top HR functions in this context. It explores the HR functions’ cycle of evolution in Industry 5.0, highlighting the significance of HRM and its components. The chapter also examines how the business environment and strategic planning are related, identifying elements affecting the business environment. The three steps of strategic planning in HR 5.0 are also described. The chapter provides a thorough knowledge of the evolving HR spectrum in this technology era, providing helpful insights for HR professionals navigating the potential and challenges of Industry 5.0.
