Without the strength, patience, love, and friendship of my wife my journey ends in a crash landing, recovery does not happen, and this book is not written. Thank you, Jen. You are the true love and light of my life.

Thanks to my friend and former Navy SEAL Commander Mark Divine, who was the first person to open my eyes to the effects of traumatic brain injury and opened my mind to the fact that maybe, just maybe, I had an injury. And that it was the injury to my brain that was the source of my pain, not some random personality defect. This truly set me on a new path toward recovery. Thank you, Mark.

Encouragement is great, but it generally fades. Unless that encouragement is coming from David Amerland, who from the inception of Ice Cold Leader has consistently been there to offer guidance, opinions, and, of course, encouragement. Thank you, David, for your role as a true mentor and friend.

No amount of success comes unless we find people who are at the level we want to be. Thankfully, we found those people.
