It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 3: How Do I Build and Run an Application?
App development comes alive when you begin to build and test your own apps. Xcode includes a selection of simple app templates to help you get started. The official documentation includes hundreds of sample projects, and you can find many more projects online—all free. Building and running them in the Simulator is easy, but getting them running on a real device is only slightly more difficult—and more rewarding.
