So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Messages
This panel, new in iPhone 3.0, offers two neat options that govern text messages (SMS), described in Chapter 4:
Show Preview means that on your Messages list (shown on The Text List), you'll see a couple of lines of sample text for each message. Why would anyone not want this helpful display?
Repeat Alert. If someone sends you a text message but you don't read it, the iPhone will remind you a couple more times that you have an unread text message. If you really want to ignore that message and you don't want to be nagged about it, turn this option off.
