Part 2The Rules of Networking™

Let's set up the Rules of Networking.

For starters, the Rules of Networking in the following chapters are in no particular order in terms of importance although No Selling Ever is pretty fundamental. It's like I explained earlier about the jab in boxing. It pretty much sets up all the other punches. Well, No Selling Ever sets up networking and your Networking Mindset.

Moving on, some of the rules set the tone for others or overlap. Also, some of the rules may allow more flexibility than others, depending on the type of event you attend or a specific circumstance that you experience.

I'll cover this in later chapters. Some of the rules may seem like common sense or even silly (but hopefully not), while others are more involved and logical. Yet others may stop you right in your boxing trunks—a revelation of sorts!

Some rules will represent an entire chapter. Others rules may not.

Earlier we discussed the six reasons why anyone would ever network—to do business, land a job, learn something, social reasons, pay it forward, and to solve a specific problem. The Rules of Networking™ apply to all six of them.
