DEVELOP A FUTURE PEOPLE WANT TO CALL THEIR OWN
The question that usually comes up first in any change effort is “What’s in it for me?” It’s a legitimate question. If you can’t answer it in a way that makes sense to those asking, don’t bother trying to move forward until you do. What’s in it for me to care about the change you are trying to create? How is it going to benefit me? What is it going to cost me? What can I expect in return? Don’t assume you know someone else’s answer and waste time trying to convince them. Have a conversation.
