4.3 Relational database management system
Although the relational database management system (RDBMS) that you use
with LearningSpace could be a third-party product, it is a fundamental
component of LearningSpace. Data regarding users, courses, and assessments
is stored in the RDBMS and is accessed as needed. LearningSpace data is
distributed among a set of tables within a single relational database. Just as
