When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
FINISHING OFF THE DIGIT
After mapping all the fibers to the optics grid,
securing them with UV resin, and trimming
them flush with the bottom of the grid, prepare
a couple of ounces of casting resin and mix it
with black acrylic paint. For each digit, set the
assembly inside the pla_digit_plug_cup piece, then
pour some of the black casting resin in the cup,
filling it to the top (see Figure
C
). Gently tap the
assembly inside the cup to release any trapped
bubbles, then leave overnight to cure.
The next day, after making sure the resin is
100% cured, use a rotary tool or a sander to sand
off the bottom of the plug cup, exposing the light
