Creating Animatable Hair
In character modeling, you'll find that you want to create realistic hair. Unfortunately thus far I have not found a professional hair plug-in or external program for Cinema 4D that can represent animatable, realistic hair of any form and length. Therefore, we won't escape having to do some work by hand.
Methods
The most popular method is to work with Sweep NURBS or Loft NURBS in combination with alpha textures in order to realistically represent longer hair. I described this in detail in my book about Cinema 4D 6.0.
