Mistake #7It’s easier if I just do it myself
When you start implementing The SMART 5 Steps (which you’ll find in part II) much of what you used to do around the house for everyone else and which you have promised yourself (and me) that you will no longer do, will be lying around on the floor simply begging you to deal with it. And you might be tempted to revert back to doing it all yourself because: It’s easier; It will save a fight; You feel that you should; You really don’t mind doing it; It only takes 5 minutes; You are better at it; It really is your job after all; and blah, blah, blah … Sorry, I stopped listening to you at It’s easier.
Solution
Keep in mind that while it is important to have a really good to-do list, it is just as important to have a really good don’t-do list. Old habits die hard; however, they will die. The solutions for mistake #7 are in part II.
