SQL query coding style

Note that there is a separate coding style guideline for SQL queries, described in the Moodle developer documentation at https://docs.moodle.org/dev/SQL_coding_style.

Here is an example query, included in a PHP script:

When it comes to SQL queries, remember the following things:

• Use parameter placeholders; if at all possible, avoid creating queries by embedding strings
• All SQL keywords are in uppercase
• SQL queries and fragments should be enclosed in double quotes, not single quotes
• Complex SQL queries should be on multiple lines and indented according to the Moodle convention
• Multiline SQL queries should be right aligned ...
