I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Selecting resources and activities for a task-based Moodle online community
The following are the items that could be included in a task-based Moodle site:
- Appearance: Include a Calendar block and be sure to include key events and timelines for each task.
- Resources: Include manuals, maps to events, presentations, and links to key URLs that provide information about the tasks, the locations, and other key information.
- Activities: Set up a forum for each task to enable community members to post their thoughts and respond to each other; include the Workshop or Wiki activity or a portfolio-based program such as Mahara for collaborating on documents.
