Defining a template

A BI Publisher Template is a container of data that allows us to represent our chosen data in a meaningful way, depending on requirements. We create a Template definition in Oracle EBS in order to specify which data source (that is, Data Definition) is associated with a specific template file.

Similar to our Data Definition, we create a Template Definition in a few simple steps:

Log on to Oracle Applications
Select the XML Publisher Administrator responsibility
Select the Templates menu option

To create a template, perform the following:
