So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 15. Dashboards
The value of P6 is that all data stems from the core: the detailed project schedule. However, the data that best supports strategic organizational decision-making needs to be visible at a higher level. In earlier chapters, we showed how portfolios are used to analyze groups of projects with intuitive graphics and scorecards. Dashboards build upon those analysis tools and present project and portfolio information in a way that is easy to set up and use. These dashboards can be customized and assigned so that specific users or groups of users can see the same information when they log into the system. Dashboards can be configured to suit individual needs or literally get everyone on the same page.
