So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

How you decide to tone an image is one of the most fundamental ways to reinforce visual narrative, create impact, and craft your story. Depending on your project, you may feel that the images require subtler, conservative, traditional edits true to a documentary project, whereas other projects might benefit from more unique, evident creative expression. Regardless of the undertaking, I find that I thoroughly enjoy getting lost in the process of refining images, and the Basic panel in Lightroom is an excellent place to start.
