It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Slideshows are a great way to present your photographs to music. You don’t have to add music to a slideshow, but if you are going to, it will be helpful to choose the song or songs before you get started creating the sequence of images. If you know the length of the audio track, you can figure out how many images you will need based on the amount of time you want each image to be displayed. The order of images might also change based on the content of the music, with muted colors for slow, soft portions of the song and strong, bold colors for the crescendo, for example.
