The last item on our project peripheral shopping list is the Raspberry Pi’s camera module. The camera will allow us to capture high-resolution photos and stream video. While we could certainly use a standard USB webcam for this requirement, that would take up another valuable USB slot on the Pi, and such a USB webcam would likely be larger than the Pi itself. Just take a look at how small the Pi Camera V2 is in the photo.
