So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The Twitch Timer demonstrates how easy it is to turn your Pi into a streaming media playback device with a programmable sleep timer. Now you can fall asleep and not worry about waking up hours later to an unwatched stream and gigabytes of unnecessarily wasted bandwidth.
Upon completing a later project in Chapter 9, Voice IR Control, you could add the ability to turn off the TV monitor you were watching the stream on, assuming the TV uses an infrared (IR) remote control to turn the TV on or off. You could also stop the requested Twitch stream after a set duration.
You could also start up the Twitch Timer by reacting to Discord[34] or email notification, alerting you that your favorite Twitch streamer is live. But for now, sit back ...
