I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Setup
Here’s what you need to build this project.
Hardware
- Docker SensorHub
- Pi Camera v2 or USB webcam
Software
- Raspistill[91] Pi Cam software included in Raspberry Pi OS
Services
- Discord[92] user account (free)
Begin the project like most others, with the installation of any necessary third-party Python libraries. If you didn’t build the RedditBot project, be sure to install the Discord Python library:
$ sudo pip3 install discord
Also, if you currently have the SensorHub still attached to your Pi from the Hue Fan or Hue AutoLight projects, shut down your Pi and temporarily remove the SensorHub to install the Pi Camera. You’ll reattach the SensorHub once the Pi Camera is connected to the Raspberry Pi’s camera port.
