Abstract
Ultrasonic atomization can be an effective approach to get products with controlled size distribution. The chapter presents an overview of different aspects of ultrasonic atomization including mechanism, advantages over conventional approaches, reactor configurations with guidelines for selection of important operating parameters, and applications in food and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
