Network capture solution
The IP traffic within a network can be sniffed by deploying network TAPs on a network and redirecting traffic via a network TAP or SPAN port to a security analyzer. The following diagram demonstrates the process of traffic travelling from a router and a switch into the network TAP. From there, it is directed to a port which hosts a network sniffer analyzer. This method provides full visibility into all network flows that reside in the network. One of the biggest advantages of network TAPs is their ability to monitor traffic without any interference.
