Summary

In this chapter, we discussed how the security landscape is changing, keeping in mind that cyber attacks have evolved from worms and viruses to sophisticated attacks in cyberspace. It is high time that we shift our focus from protection to prevention. It has been proven by recent data breaches that the old legacy system is not enough to protect assets from advanced security threats. In this chapter, we discussed old methods and new, enhanced methods to combat DDoS protection by using BGP Flowspec.
