Summary and Scope of Security Technologies

In the previous chapter, we discussed the security aspect of WAN infrastructure as well as the ability of technologies such as IPSec and VPN design to build a secure network over a public internet infrastructure. 

Almost 3 to 4 billion devices are currently connected to the internet and this number will be doubled with IOT devices. In this case, hackers won't be limited to one space. Instead, the area can be accommodated in almost every field from hospitals to traffic lights, as these will also be controlled and operated over some sort of WAN connectivity.
