Applying Alan Mulally’s Principles to Project Management
I met Alan when he was president of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. I had seen the PBS series 21st Century Jet, which documented the journey to develop the Boeing 777, and I was impressed by the management of this huge program. Because I teach project management, I wrote Alan and asked if I might be able to interview him to learn more of the inside details of how projects were managed at Boeing.
