You can download and install the latest version of Python from the official Python website at http://www.python.org as an installation file for your operating system.

However, in many cases it’s more convenient to use a Python distribution. In addition to Python itself, such a distribution includes several frequently used extensions and also provides tools for convenient installation via postinstall of additional modules.
