The Standard Library
The fourth part of this book deals with Python's standard library. The standard library consists of modules and packages that you can import and use at any time to address specific problems. In the following chapters, we’ll discuss selected contents of the standard library, sticking to a project-oriented approach, except for a few particularly important modules that will be described using reference style.
For example, the standard library contains modules and packages for mathematical functions, regular expressions, access to operating system or file system information, parallel programming, data storage, and network communication and for debugging or quality assurance.
