I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Logging In and Shutting Down
Now that you are faced with the login: prompt for the first time, you may be wondering how to get into the system.
At this point on a newly installed system, there is generally only one account to log in to—the administrative account, root. This account is used to manage your system and do things like configure the system, add and remove users, software, and so on. To log in to the account, enter root at the login: prompt and press Enter. You are asked for the password you entered during installation. Enter that password at the password: prompt.
