It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Simulating two slaves down
In this experiment, we set min-slaves-to-write to 1 and shut down 2 slaves, leaving the master running only. The option min-slaves-to-write means the minimum slaves required to accept the write request. As there were no slaves, the write request was rejected by the master.
