I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How to do it...
To understand how to use the sorted set data type, take the following steps:
- Open a Terminal and connect to Redis with redis-cli.
- To make a ranking for the local restaurants in Relp, use the following:
- The first step we will take is to put the voting rate and the name of each restaurant into a sorted set. The command we use here is ZADD:
127.0.0.1:6379> ZADD ranking:restaurants 100 "Olive Garden" 23 "PF Chang's" 34 "Outback Steakhouse" 45 "Red Lobster" 88 "Longhorn Steakhouse" (integer) 5
